9nly went in for lunch manager and staff very helpful and polite will be going ack soon.
We didn't have a room but went for lunch. Our server Irving was very friendly and helpful. He had just gotten back from a trip to Canada which is where we are from so we had a lot to chat about. Had the soup, small portion of fish and chips and the special burger with haggis. Everything was delicious.
We were there on a stop for two nights as we walked the Fife Coastal Trail. The staff were so lovely. Chatty and engaged. The double twin room was more than adequate. The kettle with coffee and tea supplies were very appreciated, especially not having the same in London or Edinburgh. The provided breakfast was excellent with both hot and cold options. We took advantage of the offering of fresh fruit. As beautiful as Aberdour is, there are few options for food or shops. Those that are open operate on a short week. The shop across from the hotel offers specialty foods and the owner is happy to share get knowledge. Aberdour Castle is great. St. Fillian's Church is very impressive... more so that it's still an active congregation.
Great location, Aberdour is really nice. Staff were brilliant and friendly. We didn't eat but the food looked great. Room was a little dated, but comfortable, great night sleep. Breakfast was great.
The restaurant in particular is second to none in the area. And the bar. Very nice staff and a log fire in the bar, what more could you want? Really varied and interstellar fresh lunch menu. Good value.

We have been going to the Aberdour hotel for many years for lunch or dinner and this place just gets better. We popped in today for lunch and it was outstanding,the menus offer great choices of local produce and all freshly cooked . Staff were friendly and helpful and a delight to deal with . A very enjoyable afternoon was spent here and it won't be too long till I return. In Fife this place is hard to beat I absolutely recommend going here for lunch or dinner 10 out of 10
New management has really taken the mantle of the previous owners seriously. It's become a regular spot for a couple of pints or Sunday lunch. Staff are absolutely lovely and the food is great too. There's a decent cask ale on as well.
